About Trapp Spinal Care

At Trapp Spinal Care the focus is on restoring the body’s natural ability to heal by restoring the structure of the body frame, thereby restoring optimum function to the central nervous system. That’s it. That’s the key. We believe the body is a flawless design. It’s what we do to it, during the course of living that interferes with our health.

While there are certainly other factors that can contribute to illness or injury, we believe the first and most important step toward health and wellness it to make certain the nervous system is free from structural interference and that the body is able to receive the proper healing messages from its central command center, the brain.
The NUCCA chiropractic technique is the only type of spinal manipulation we offer. It is our specialty and the preferred method of spinal correction. We believe that this precise repositioning of the atlas (C1) is what enables the spine to regain it’s stability as quickly as possible, thereby restoring proper nerve flow to all previously affected areas of the body and jump-starts the healing process! It is important to remember that the longer the spine stays in alignment, the longer the opportunity for the body to heal. Once health has been lost, regaining your health becomes a process, not an event. The NUCCA spinal correction is the event that begins that process.

Dr. Trapp and his wife, Debbie, have operated Trapp Spinal Care since November of 1997. It truly is a family business. Our family loves taking care of your family! We are here to help. We want you to be take charge of your health. You know your body better than anyone. Let’s work together to improve your life, through quality chiropractic care.

Meet Dr. Conrad Trapp

Dr. Trapp happened on to chiropractic and specifically, the NUCCA method of chiropractic, like most of us do - with an urgent need! After a chronic low-back condition finally blew out, a friend recommended he try her chiropractor - a NUCCA doctor. He considers himself truly fortunate to have heeded that advice!

"On my first visit with my NUCCA doctor I was totally under-whelmed by the adjustment he made right below my ear. His touch was so slight and my pain was located so low in my spine, I just knew I had been taken by this guy. But then, as I got up off the table, ready to let him have it, I noticed that about 50% of my pain was gone. That got my attention!"
"Because my condition was so acute when I started care, it did take many visits to get my spine to stabilize so I could hold my correction. My doctor explained to me that real healing occurred only when my spine stayed in alignment. That made sense to me."

"I have been a chiropractic patient since 1981. At one point, I had held my correction for a period of six years. Now that I'm making spinal corrections myself, I will typically need to get corrected once a month or so."

Dr. Trapp's personal experience with NUCCA chiropractic as a patient, resulted in a career change from machinist to chiropractor in his mid 30’s. He graduated Cum Laude from Palmer College of Chiropractic in October 1996. Since that time Dr. Trapp has helped many recover their health and quality of life through the NUCCA method of spinal correction. He is Broken Arrow's original upper cervical chiropractor, having practiced here since 1997.

A native of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, when not in the office, Dr. Trapp can be found relaxing or fishing at Baron Fork Creek near Tahlequah, with his wife Debbie. The Trapps have 3 grown children, Devin, Rachael, and Will, and 2 grand-dogs, Mimi and Arrow.

Meet Dr. Rachael L. Trapp

Dr. Rachael as she is referred to here in the office, was born in Davenport, Iowa, six months before her father would graduate from Palmer College of Chiropractic there. Years later she has come full circle and completed her own Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer. Dr. Rachael received her first NUCCA adjustment at 9 weeks old, after suffering a dislocated hip at birth. Having been a NUCCA chiropractic patient almost all of her life she knows first-hand the benefits of keeping your spine properly aligned.

During her time at Palmer College, Dr. Rachael took on several leadership roles including president of the Palmer Upper Cervical Club and teaching assistant for the diagnostic department. She was honored to be selected to work in the Palmer clinic’s radiology department as a student intern.
Dr. Rachael has dedicated herself to learning a variety of chiropractic techniques including NUCCA, Atlas Orthogonal, drop table, extremity adjusting, and SOT. But because she knows that the connection from brain to the body must be free of interference in order for optimal health to be achieved, she primarily uses the NUCCA technique.
An alumni of Broken Arrow High School, Dr. Rachael is eager to give back to her hometown. After high school she attended 2 years at Coffeyville Community College followed by 2 years at William Penn University, where she received her B.S. in Biology and got to live out her dream of being a collegiate athlete. When she is not in the office Dr. Rachael and her fiancé Jimmy, enjoy an active lifestyle playing slowpitch softball, umpiring for USA softball, weight lifting, and fishing with Dr. Trapp.

Meet Debbie Trapp - Office Manager

Dr. Trapp and I got married in 1992. That's when he decided to go back to school to become a chiropractor. When he opened his own upper cervical specific practice in Broken Arrow, in 1997, I became his office manager. I have also been a NUCCA patient since 1992.

Shortly after Dr. Trapp began chiropractic school, I endured 6 months of extreme low back trouble after simply swinging a golf club. Of course, that's not what "did it", but that was the last straw. It turns out I had a huge herniated disc between L4/L5 with a blazing sciatic nerve. At age 32 I was told to have surgery and I was ready, but Dr. Trapp didn't want me to. I'm so glad he was there to be the voice of reason! I avoided surgery and I have no more pain.

I graduated from Broken Arrow High School in 1979. After 2 years at Tulsa Junior College, I completed my Bachelor's Degree in Business Management from Oklahoma State University.
I can help you any questions about our office, fees, or insurance.
I can also help with questions you have about NUCCA care from a patient's perspective. If you are hurting or having nagging health problems that just won't go away, I encourage you to come in and find out how we may be able to help you.
